Sephora | Give Me Some Nude Lip

Sephora Favorites Give Me Some Nude Lip Set | $28 ($86 value)

Why are value sets always oh so tempting to buy when I'm stalking the Sephora website? I never need to add anything more to my cart, but when I came across this nude lipstick set for an absolute steal at $28 during my most Sephora shopping trip, I just had to add it to my cart..

This set comes with 2 full sized products and 3 deluxe sample sized products, including 2 lipsticks, 1 lip crayon, 1 lip paint, and a lip liner. I'm not big on lip glosses so I was quite happy to see this set doesn't include one.

Nudestix Lip & Cheek Crayon in Whisper | Full Size
I was most excited for the Nudestix and Tarte lip colors, and I'm happy to say these were easily my favorite in the set. Nudestix's Whisper is a beautiful midtone, every day nude, that's ultra creamy and comfortable on the lips while still being pretty matte and opaque. This had great staying power despite being creamy too, easily lasting 5+ hours before reapplying. The pencil shape of this really lets you carve out a beautiful, precise lip line, and I can't wait to pick up more shades.

Tarte Lip Paint in Namaste | Deluxe Sample Size
Tartes Namaste is a matte, peachy nude lip paint that's relatively comfortable on the lips for being so matte, that dried down beautifully and didn't leave chunks or build up in my lip lines. I usually find liquid lipsticks this color to look quite clumpy and cakey, so I was pleasantly surprised by how much I love this formula. Be aware that this isn't like a traditional liquid lip though, as its not budge proof or ultra long lasting so you may need to touch up after a few hours or after eating.

NARS Lipstick in Dolce Vita | Full Size
I was also excited for this lipstick since the price of it alone pretty much pays off the entire set, but this was probably the only so-so product for me. While some people might love this for every day, this just looked like a tinted chapstick on me as it has a really creamy, gloss like finish and looks the exact same as my natural lip color. A good option when you're running out the door or don't want to fuss with a lip color that day, but I could never imagine paying full price for a glorified chapstick. My preferred way to wear this is over a nude lip liner.

Marc Jacobs Outliner Longwear Lip Pencil in Prim Rose | Deluxe Sample Size
While theres nothing extraordinarily special about this lip liner, I love that it has a screw up tip which means no fussing with sharpening it every couple of days, and it has a really smooth, creamy formula. The color is like a dark warm rose, and I like pairing it with a couple of my deeper nude lipsticks, or under the NARS Dolce Vita one mentioned above.

Laura Mercier Creme Smooth Lipstick in Milky Way | Deluxe Sample Size
While the shade of this lipstick might be a bit off putting to some as its an almost tan like, brown toned nude, I liked the color of this on myself much more than I expected and I like how creamy yet long wearing the formula is. I can probably wear this for 4-5 hours before reapplying and it feels quite comfortable during that time.

Overall, if you've been eyeballing this set for a while or really want to try out a range of lipsticks from Sephora to get a little taste of different formulas and brands, I'd say definitely give this set a try! I didn't have a single dud that I absolutely hated, and I can see myself getting use out of every product in the set. For $28 I think this is a steal, and even if you only end up liking 2 or 3 products it still pays for itself.

UPDATE: Grrrr, I need to stop procrastinating on writing posts because this doesn't seem to be on the site any longer. I'll link each individual product below, and let you know if it comes back in stock.

Have any of the Sephora Value Sets caught your eye lately? If so, which ones?
