Do my photos look fancier? I hope so haha! I finally took the plunge on the mission to begin buying some decent blogging equipment, and my first purchase was a whopping 4 daylight toned light bulbs for dun dun dun... $1.88 at Walmart! Crazy right? In all seriousness though, I can't believe how much of a difference that light bulbs alone made for my pictures... they look so much more pristine and professional already, I'm quite excited to see what else I can do to improve on :)
Anyhow, I've been working on a few reviews I need to do from my most recent Sephora haul lately, but since reviews take quite a bit of time to test out products and compare them to other brands and things you use, I figured I would post another monthly favorites for the time being with all the stuff I've loved from April!
April has been quite an exciting beauty month for me, but since I basically post everything I buy on here most of the stuff is going to seem pretty familiar haha. At least you'll get a sneak peek of the reviews that will turn out good right :)
First up is a mish-mash of a load of different stuff, including Bath & Body Works's 3 Wick Candles, OCC's Matte Top Coat, Tartes Lights Camera Lashes Mascara, Too Faced Primed & Poreless face primer, and Elfs nail polish in Pot Of Gold.
B&BW 3 Wick Candles (not just this scent) - Up until my mom started working there again recently I haven't really been a huge shopper at Bath & Body, but nearly every shift she has she brings home a ton of different candles for our house and I can't help but steal a few from her every so often: the scents are to die for and they really fill my entire room (which is huge by the way) with such heavenly smells that really make the whole area feel much more hygienic and fresh. Living with as many dogs as we do, we need anything we can get to keep the puppy odor's at bay, and having these in every room has really helped the whole house smell and feel more homey.
ELF Pot Of Gold nail polish - See my post of it here!
OCC Matte Top Coat in Flatline - Okay I'll admit, though this is the first matte top coat I've tried, I'm sure its not the best one ever, however I do prefer it waaay more after a normal clear coat after trying it out a few times. It makes my nails have a really silky feeling finish which I love, and it gets rid of any imperfections I made while applying it since it has the foggy, matte finish. Though I wouldn't say it makes the polish's I've tried super matte looking, it does make a difference, and I really like it for what it is.
Too Faced Primed & Poreless - This came in the Too Faced Beauty Blogger Darlings kit from Sephora and I honestly have to say I might become a Too Faced junkie now :x Every product is insane from the kit and this was the one I thought I would reach for the least, yet still really have gotten a ton of use out of. I can't say it keeps me less oily throughout the day like some primers are meant to, however, anytime I wear this and come home from college to do touch-ups before work I'm always shocked that I don't need any! I seriously have never found a foundation that doesn't break down on my nose or nostrils by 6-8 hours but now I see that a primer was all I really needed. My makeup feels fresh from the time I apply it to 15 hours later at night when I'm ready to shower and end the day and its all thanks to this stuff. Review of the entire kit coming soon!
Tartes Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara - As I mentioned in the haul of purchasing this, I used to be terrified of trying out Tarte after a bad experience previously, but this has been my go to mascara since the day I've purchased it and I'm really excited to try out more of their products. Though I love the Better Than Sex mascara from the Too Faced kit a ton as well, I just have to give Tarte the monthly favorite spot this time around because it impressed me so much. Tarte... I'm sorry for doubting you all these months ;)
& Another slight mish mash we have going on here, with Philosophy's Purity face wash, Herbal Essences Smooth Collection Shampoo & Conditioner, and Too Faced Chocolate Soleil bronzer.
Philosophy's Purity Made Simple - I'm almost sad that I included this in my monthly favorites because it means that its been on my desk to photograph for the last couple days and that I've also forgotten to take it into my shower, agh! Just by not using this for 3 days now I already have a ton of acne popping up on my face so that probably lets the product speak for itself; I never thought I would spend so much on a face wash but now I really don't think I could ever go back to my normal stuff, its the bees knees.
Herbal Essences Smooth Collection Shampoo & Conditioner - Forget if anyone has ever told you that you need a super expensive salon brand to make your hair feel awesome, this stuff is great! (slight hypocrisy there from my Purity thought process?) Really though, I'm one of those people that buys a new brand of shampoo and conditioner every time I run out because they always seem to not work or make my hair feel even crappier after using it enough, but not this stuff. Not only does it smell great and come in a jumbo size with a convenient pump, but it also makes my hair feel soft and fluffy every time I use it and lasts forever, this bottle is already weeks old and I've barely put a dent in it! For about 7 dollars each (I picked up 3 bottles when it was buy two get one free at Target in fact), it seems silly to pick up anything else when this stuff works great and come on, looks pretty cute in my shower as well.
Annnnnd last but not least:
Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer - Ah, a sweet forbidden love I have with this product. I know bronzers can be scary to some, but with the super contouring, chiseled out model trend in the beauty world lately (and by lately I mean the past few years... if not decades) bronzer has become a staple in even the most pale of women's collections, including my own. This is by far the most smooth and buttery face product I've found, which makes it perfect for contouring and blending out like a breeze. Though its deeply pigmented, its easy to avoid over doing it and the overall look it gives is wonderful. I have to admit though, its taken me until just recently to get the chocolate scent from it... first opening it smelled more like that signature baby doll smell that we all loved as a kid, but nonetheless it does smell great haha :) Can't they make all makeup this way?!
I totally forgot my Tokyo Milk Lip Elixir in this post too waaa :( We'll have to just include it in next months... hopefully with a few more haha!
Hope you enjoyed and let me know what you think of these products too ^_^

Nice post! I have the Milk Chocolate Soileil and it's such a nice product. It's a bit too orange for my skin, but I still use it as eyeshadow because it smells so nice.
