Spring is always kind of a slow season for me, because there's not much going on in the way of holidays, and no one in my family has a birthday or any big special event coming up. So I tend to cheer myself up with some pretty makeup, and make the most of the rainy weather and long, boring work days. Here's some of my favorite lipsticks to wear this season, including an array of pinks, corals and purples to stick to the pastel goodness that Spring brings!
If you've been wanting to try lilac lips but were too scared of them looking too light or extreme, Kat Von D's liquid lipstick in Requiem has you covered. It's a beautiful baby pink/ lilac hybrid that looks so flattering and feminine on the lips without being too bold.
For an everyday shade, Tattoo Junkees Liquid Lipstick in Cheeky is my go-to nude when it comes to liquid lipsticks. It's one of the very few pale shades I've found that doesn't settle into my lip lines or look cakey or clumpy in the inner rim of my lips through out the day.
Lastly for the liquids, I have Wet N Wild's new Liquid Catsuit Lipstick in Nudist Peach. This is a beautiful bright tangerine that's a really wearable way to wear orange without it making too much of a statement.
Now for lipsticks, I have another Kat Von D product that was featured on the blog recently in Magick. This shade is bea-utiful this time of year, and has a subtle silver sparkle that sets it apart from other dusty pinks. I personally like pairing this with light pinks and neutrals on the eyes.
Katy Perry's line from Covergirl has a sweet color range coming from the drugstore, with Coral Cat catching my eye immediately. This is a great classic coral, and the type of shade I always seem to gravitate towards during warmer weather months.
To wrap up my picks for this season, I decided to throw in a color everyone can wear with Earthling, from the Urban Decay Vice Lipsticks. Earthling is a great go-to nude with a sheer opacity that's creamy and comfortable on the lips. It will need to be reapplied every few hours because of this, but its a great option for school or work if you want your lips to feel a bit more comfortable.
